Mida is A/B testing software — not an image generator
The tool above is the only image generation Mida offers, and it is free to use right here. Creating a Mida account does not give you more image generations, and there is no image generator inside the app.
What Mida actually does is different: you add a small script to a website you own, then test changes — images, headlines, layout — against your real visitors to see which version sells more.

A/B test to prove it converts better
A better image doesn't always mean a higher add-to-cart rate. Use MidaGX to split-test image variants on real Shopify traffic and measure the conversion lift.
Shopify stores that test their product image strategy see consistent gains in add-to-cart rate and revenue per visitor. Here are the highest-impact Shopify PDP image types to generate and test.
A clean white or neutral background hero image reduces visual noise and puts focus on the product. Essential for Shopify stores selling across multiple channels.
Try: "Clean white studio background, professional product photography"
Shopify stores selling lifestyle products — apparel, home goods, beauty — often see higher add-to-cart when lifestyle images appear before white background shots.
Try: "Show in use in a bright natural lifestyle setting outdoors"
For premium or luxury Shopify products, dark backgrounds with dramatic lighting elevate perceived value and justify higher price points.
Try: "Dark luxury background with soft directional spotlight"
Refresh your Shopify product images for Black Friday, Christmas, or Valentine's Day without scheduling a new photoshoot. Seasonal imagery increases relevance and conversion.
Try: "Christmas gift setting with warm bokeh lights"
Flat lay product photography works especially well for Shopify collection pages and social ads. Generate consistent flat lays across your entire product catalogue.
Try: "Overhead flat lay on a light linen or marble surface"
Generate multiple Shopify product image styles here — lifestyle vs. white background, model vs. flat lay — then upload them and use Mida to test which one sells more.
Try: "Minimal Scandinavian home setting with natural light"
Yes. Upload any product photo, describe the change you want — lifestyle setting, white background, premium staging — and download the AI-generated Shopify product image in seconds. Upload it directly to your product listing in the Shopify admin. Mida does not generate images anywhere else — this page is the only place, and creating an account does not give you more generations.
Shopify recommends 2048 x 2048px square images for product photos (1:1 ratio) for the cleanest display across themes and zoom functionality. Keep file sizes under 200KB using WebP compression. For lifestyle images used in banners or featured collections, 16:9 landscape at 2048 x 1152px works best. The AI tool generates images that you can further resize and compress before uploading to Shopify.
There is no universal answer — it depends on your product category, brand positioning, and customer. White background images reduce visual noise and are required for Google Shopping. Lifestyle images show context and emotional appeal. The only way to know which converts better for your Shopify store is to A/B test both. MidaGX lets you run this test on real Shopify traffic without developer help.
Most high-converting Shopify product pages include 4–8 images: a hero shot, 2–3 lifestyle or in-use images, a detail or feature shot, and a scale/size reference. The exact number matters less than image quality and variety. Generating multiple angles and contexts with AI is a fast way to fill out a complete Shopify image gallery without a full photoshoot.
Generate the images you want to compare with the free tool above, then upload them to your store. To find out which one actually sells more, Mida splits your real Shopify traffic between them and reports add-to-cart clicks and revenue for each. Mida does not create the images — you supply them — and it needs a small script installed on your store.
